Brisbane Bronco and Fiji national player (didn't know he was Fijian) Ashton Sims earned a double dose of Chicko's on Wednesday night when he was brought out onto the court at halftime of the Hawks Taipans game.
After a short chat with courtside announcer Macca ahead of Fiji's world cup clash with France, Sims was given a chance to 'win a prize' with a half court shot.
Sims then casually swished the attempt before an amazed crowd, with time to kill Macca gave the League star another chance to astound the patrons.
He narrowly missed a second attempt before banking home a third to finish 2-of-3 from halfway.
Fresh off the half court heroics, Sims and the Fijian team proceeded to demolish France 42-6 next door at WIN Stadium on Saturday.
With Chicko's due to open across the street from the WIN Entertainment Centre, rewarding such accomplishments will be made much simpler in the future.
While we eagerly await the opening of Chicko's in Wollongong, for those of us that witnessed Sim's big shots; you owe that man Chicko's (twice!).
